Dear Parents and Family,
We are pleased to welcome your daughter as a new member of Delta Delta Delta. In claiming membership in Tri Delta, your daughter joins a group of unique women united through the common bonds of friendship. Founded in 1888 at Boston University, Tri Delta remains rooted in tradition with an eye to the future, offering women support for their academic endeavors, visionary leadership and overall excellence. The friendship and support envisioned by Tri Delta’s Founders has been shared by more than 200,000 members – women of distinction who are committed to the highest ideals. Tri Delta collegiate chapters are currently located on 133 campuses in the United States and Canada.
Tri Delta currently offers a number of initiatives to deepen the member experience and thus strengthen our organization. As a parent of the newest generation in Tri Delta, we thought you’d want to know more about the choice your daughter has made and the choices she is offered as a member.
Programs like Kristin's Story and AlcoholEdu educate women on the pressures of collegiate life, while initiatives like Automated Payment Highway and new member education help members to embrace the responsibilities related to Tri Delta membership. The Fraternity also provides women endless opportunities for unselfish leadership and personal growth, from serving as chapter officer to coordinating and participating in philanthropy events. The Fraternity recognizes that education is the primary goal of the collegiate experience, and the chapter’s scholarship program provides opportunities for all members and new members to achieve full academic potential while emphasizing academic excellence and career preparation.
Of course, the main tenent of Tri Delta membership is friendship, and Tri Deltas are offered a number of ways to connect with their sisters. Tri Delta’s magazine, The Trident, will be sent to your home following your daughter’s initiation. The mission of the magazine is to reflect the Tri Delta experience; to bring the Purpose and shared values of Tri Delta to life; to instill and sustain pride in the Fraternity; to educate and entertain the undergraduate members, alumnae, parents and others interested in the Fraternity and to contribute to the historical record of the Fraternity. We hope you will enjoy reading it.
The Fraternity also promotes sisterhood with inCircle, Tri Delta’s online social and professional networking tool for members only. inCircle allows Tri Deltas across the globe to keep in touch and ensure that the bonds of sisterhood stay strong throughout and after college. Members use this tool for everything from making new friends and creating interest groups to making valuable career contacts and getting in touch with local alumnae after graduation.
As your daughter faces the challenges of collegiate life, professional development and personal growth, Delta Delta Delta promises to assist her in every possible way. If you have any questions about the services provided by the Fraternity, please feel free to call our Executive Office at (817) 633-8001.
Sincerely,
