THE TRIDENT WINS SEVERAL PROMINENT DESIGN AND WRITING AWARDS
June 20, 2007 – Arlington, Texas – Delta Delta Delta is proud to announce that its official magazine, The Trident, won several major design and writing honors and awards for its 2006-2007 publication year:
The Trident has received two Awards of Excellence from Graphic Design USA Magazine's Inhouse Design competition. The Winter 2006 issue and the Fall 2006 issue were selected through judging of over 4,000 entries.
The Trident also had two spreads in the Design Professionals 2007 exhibit at Tarrant County College's SE campus in Arlington. It features about 30-40 recent examples of Graphic Design.
In addition the Bronze ADDY The Trident received in February at this year's Fort Worth Ad Club show, The Trident has been selected as a Merit Winner in the Society of Publication Designers 42nd annual show. Any SPD award is the highest possible recognition a magazine can receive for design, and with this recognition, Tri Delta is in the company of magazines like Vanity Fair and GQ.
The Trident has also won a number of awards at the annual Collegiate Fraternity Editors Association (CFEA) Conference this year, including 2nd place for a two page or less layout, 2nd place for logo design, 3rd place for a promotional publication and 3rd place for the official Web site. The Trident team was also excited to receive 3rd place for the Fred F. Yoder Award for Overall Excellence.
